Hydrochloric Acid, HCL
Hydrochloric Acid is compound of Hydrogen and Chlorine. It is widely used chemical due to its highly active nature. Commercial quality material is generally 30 percent to 33 percent, which is the maximum concentration available of Hydrochloric acid with water. It is light yellow in color with pungent odor. It is highly corrosive in nature affecting almost all metals. Graphite, Rubber lined and Plastic materials are suitable to use.
Chemical formula
Hydrochloric acid is used in:
• Production of chlorides,
• Steel Industry as galvanizing of steel plants and other metal treatment industries
• Oil well in drilling and production stages
• Refining ore in the production of tin and tantalum,
• Pickling and cleaning of metal products,
• Electroplating, in removing scale from boilers,
• Neutralization of basic systems, as a laboratory reagent,
• Catalyst and solvent in organic syntheses, in the manufacture of fertilizers and dyes,
• Hydrolyzing starch and proteins in the preparation of various food products,
• Photographic, textile, and rubber industries
In bulk and plastic drums of 25, 40, 50 L, also in plastic cubical of 1 Ton capacity.
